Step into a World of Relief: Expert Cupping Therapy

Trained Wright's Wellness Clinic practitioners administer cupping therapy through the careful placement of heated cups on specific points of the body to ease pain, stimulate blood flow and eliminate toxins as part of a treatment plan that helps relieve a diverse range of conditions. Frequently combined with other Eastern healing practices such as acupuncture, our professionally trained massage therapy specialists are available to provide practical advice on the many benefits of cupping therapy.

Cupping Therapy Procedure

The use of cups on affected areas creates a localized pressure that acts as a vacuum to draw blood to the surface and facilitate healing. Experienced Wright's Wellness Clinic practitioners tailor treatments to achieve both therapeutic and stress relieving effects to harmonize the energy pathways of the body.

Mainstream Medicine in China

According to Eastern healing philosophy, cupping therapy induces the balanced flow of “Qi” energy through the body’s organs and tissues that triggers the natural release of harmful toxins. Safe and effective, cupping therapy is considered a mainstream form of medicine in China and practiced at most hospitals with great success. A recent review of several scientific studies has shown cupping therapy to be effective for a variety of conditions from acne to facial paralysis and especially effective when combined with acupuncture treatments.

Cupping Therapy Etobicoke Toronto FAQs

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine where therapists place special cups on your skin to create suction. This therapy is used for various purposes, including pain management, inflammation reduction, blood flow improvement, relaxation, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
Most clients report that cupping therapy is not painful. You may experience a unique sensation due to the suction of the cups, often described as a deep warmth or a gentle pulling sensation on the skin, but this is generally found to be relaxing.
The frequency of cupping therapy varies based on individual health needs. Our therapists will work with you to recommend a schedule that best suits your condition and wellness goals.
Yes, cupping therapy can be effectively combined with other treatments such as massage therapy, acupuncture, or physiotherapy. Our therapists will advise on the best combination of treatments for your needs.
While cupping is safe for most people, it is not recommended for those with certain health conditions such as severe skin conditions, blood disorders, or for pregnant women. We advise consulting with our therapists for a personalized assessment.
